Matthew Dootson

Matthew is a solicitor and Partner in Clarke Willmott’s Corporate and Commercial team, based out of the firm’s Manchester office and serving as a sector lead for their national Healthcare offering.

Matthew’s client base comprises a mixture of GPs, dentists, pharmacists, and care home operators. His experience includes advising on acquisitions and business disposals, corporate governance and structuring, regulatory matters specific to the sector and general compliance.

Prior to joining Clarke Willmott in 2019, Matthew spent two years leading the legal function of a national healthcare provider and consolidator from their Manchester office, where he worked in collaboration with the NHS – both at national and local commissioning levels – and the CQC to implement one of the earliest multi-site GP partnership structures.
