Matt Rooney

Matt is an Associate Director at sustainability consultancy, Anthesis. He is a decarbonisation and climate risk specialist with 15 years’ experience. He has supported public and private sector clients across Greater Manchester, and played an integral part in helping GM set their 2038 carbon neutrality target. He led the development of an emissions modelling tool, SCATTER, now used by over 300 local authorities. Matt is a Chartered Accountant, and in addition to supporting various clients to keep up with the various sustainability reporting regulations, he is developing a proprietary UK carbon finance programme known as Area Based Insetting (ABI).
