9th October 2023, 3:54 pm
Join us for an informative networking event and hear from a range of expert speakers who are keen to share their experience and discuss some of the challenges and opportunities surrounding sustainable retrofit of commercial buildings.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Manchester City Council have set a target of being carbon neutral by 2038, with a Greater Manchester carbon budget of 67MtCO2 set between 2018 and 2038.
Work completed by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research has identified that emissions from 2018-2020 significantly exceeded the budget, to the extent that if emissions continue at the current rate, the entire 67MtCO2 budget will be exhausted by 2024. According to the Manchester Climate Change Framework 12% of Manchester’s total carbon emissions come from commercial buildings with 48% of commercial emissions from space heating and hot water.
This networking event will appeal to Architects, Interior Designers, Green Technology Installers, Retrofit Innovators who are at the forefront of this challenge.
