Bank of England, Economic & Monetary Policy Update, 7 March 2024

Ken Clark, the Bank of England’s Deputy Agent for the North West region will be discussing the BoE’s latest thinking on the economic outlook as well as monetary and financial policy. The presentation will cover the near and medium-term path for inflation, unemployment and growth based on the most recent Bank forecast for the economy (published in February 2024) over the next three years. Ken will discuss how recent developments and the forecast are influencing the thinking of the Monetary Policy Committee around how to set interest rates in order to achieve its inflation target.
