UHY Hacker Young Manchester’s Audit Manager, Eleanor Driver, has been announced as ‘Manager of the Year’ at the 2023 Made in Manchester awards (MiMA).

The MiMA’s took place on 2 February at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, to celebrate young business talent aged up to 35.

Eleanor works at the Manchester office of UHY Hacker Young, a Top 20 accountancy firm, where she manages the more complex and risky audit assignments. Since joining in March 2017, she has had exposure to a diverse range of clients including: owner-managed SME’s, academies, Limited Liability Partnerships, international groups, and listed entities reporting under IFRS.

Eleanor’s specialist expertise in the academy sector has also seen her support both single and multi-academy trusts through internal and external audit, end of year certificates and annual accounts return submission.

Proudly hosted by Future Pro-Manchester, the awards are recognised as prestigious due to the rigorous judging process, which allows the panel to identify the very best in their field. The awards have a particular focus on celebrating the winners’ excellence, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, development and leadership skills.

The judges were impressed with the passion and enthusiasm that Eleanor displays consistently in her role. They also admired the dedication she shows in helping new team members settle in and her time and effort training colleagues in less senior roles.

David Kendrick, Partner, commented on her win, saying, “Absolutely delighted for Ellie on winning this award, thoroughly deserved and couldn’t be more happy for her. She has been a huge part of the UHY growth and development and will be a star of the future.”
