Transport for Greater Manchester’s Christmas Campaign

This year’s TfGM Christmas marketing campaign aims to increase sustainable travel across Greater Manchester during the festive period. We’ll be promoting public transport and walking, cycling or wheeling to destinations and we’d love to work with you to promote travel to your venue.
The campaign will be promoted from 7 November until end of December on DOOH, paid social and digital display, as well as on every Metrolink stop and tram, and at bus shelters and interchanges across Greater Manchester. We’ll also have organic social posts on the TfGM Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds.
This year we will be bringing back the popular interactive online map which will promote venues and events across Greater Manchester, and we’d love to have your business join the campaign.
Attraction proposal and logistics:
We would like to work with you so that you can be listed and promoted on our website as part of our Christmas campaign.
Your venue or event will then be promoted throughout November and December on the TfGM Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds where we have a collective of more than 196,000 followers, drawing the TfGM audience back to use the website to discover the attraction of the week. As part of your involvement, you would receive organic and paid social posts, replicated across all of our channels in the run up to, and during the activity. We’ll also be promoting the interactive map on a mixture of paid media channels including Digital OOH, Digital Display and Paid Social. This will be accompanied by promotion on our owned channels including 259 poster sites at each of our 99 Metrolink stops, 250 poster sites on all tram vehicles across the network, 550 posters sites at bus stops and interchanges across the whole of Greater Manchester.
Giveaway Opportunity
As part of the campaign, we are also looking for potential partners for a giveaway opportunity on stop and at interchanges. This would allow you access to high-footfall areas to increase brand and products awareness as well as increase positive sentiment towards your business by handing out samples to public transport users.
Metrolink Advent Calendar Opportunity
We are also looking for partners to provide prizes and offers for our Advent Calendar social media competition we are running. This will see us run a social media competition from the 1st December to the 24th December, promoting partners prizes and offers on our social media channels – with a prize each day. This will see you benefit from extra coverage on our website and social media coverage on our channels with positive sentiment towards your brand.
Benefits:
As well as the opportunity to reach more than 196,000 of our followers via social media, we will be putting media budget behind dedicated posts to reach new audiences within Greater Manchester, including visitors and residents. TfGM will promote the campaign and attraction on social media, examples of content can be supplied in advance to ensure you are happy.
· Your venue will be on the interactive map as a destination for the whole campaign period which will be promoted using a multi-channel campaign including paid for media.
· We will also be driving footfall to your venue during the campaign period. We’d be highlighting your venue to customers and showing them how to reach you by public transport or walking, cycling or wheeling.
What we need from you
We would just need a few things from you to get you set up on our website and ready to promote on our social media channels. These are:
· A brief description of your venue/event for the website
· An image for the website (which will be re-sized to 800 x 430 px)
· Images for social media (will be used at 1080 x 1080 and 1200 x 630 px)
· Link to your preferred website page from our campaign website
· Social media account handles
· Any offers/prizes you can provide to become part of our Advent Calendar social media competition
