TLT continues to grow North West Legal 500 rankings

TLT has continued to grow its Legal 500 rankings in the North West, with 15 practice areas ranked in the 2023 edition of the legal industry’s prestigious directory.

The rankings saw the firm’s employment practice ranked Tier 1 for the third year in a row. Teams such as banking and finance; commercial litigation; insolvency and corporate recovery; and local government also moved up a tier, showcasing TLT’s strengths and expertise in these areas.

A total of 14 lawyers from TLT’s Manchester office were ranked individually with Liz Cotton and Matthew Forrest newly ranked as ‘Leading Individuals’ and Kate Beech newly ranked as ‘Rising Stars’.

The rankings reflect the strength of TLT’s full-service offering in the region, recognising areas including employment; banking litigation; intellectual property; IT and communications; real estate; commercial litigation; restructuring and insolvency; pensions; planning and environment; banking and finance; commercial litigation; construction; local government; health and safety; and property litigation.

The success of the firm in the North West has been widely recognised in the last twelve months, most recently at the Manchester Legal Awards were the firm was awarded law firm of the year.

TLT is ranked in 72 submission areas across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the Legal 500 UK rankings 2022, with eight lawyers listed in the ‘Hall of Fame’, 34 as ‘Leading Individuals’, ten as ‘Next Generation Partners’ and ten as ‘Rising Stars’.

TLT revealed a record financial year with 30% turnover growth in 2021/2022. Revenue is up to £144m from £110m in 2020/2021, exceeding the £140m target initially set for 2025. The results follow an exceptional year in which TLT launched the firm’s strategic vision for 2025 aiming to drive robust financial growth by increasing resources, developing the firm’s reach locally, nationally and internationally, and using the latest integrated technology, whilst delivering a progressive workplace agenda, with market leading sustainability.
