TISE appoints new NED to regulatory arm

The International Stock Exchange (TISE) has appointed Nick Bayley to the Board of its regulatory arm.
Mr Bayley was appointed a Non-Executive Director of The International Stock Exchange Authority Limited (TISEA) on 1 October.
Rob Trefny, Chair of TISEA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nick to the Board of TISEA. During his career, Nick has been closely involved in the evolution of capital markets regulation in the UK, Europe and internationally. My fellow Board members and I are looking forward to Nick bringing this significant experience to TISE.”
Mr Bayley has more than 30 years’ experience working in the financial services industry, in professional services, with regulators and exchanges. Currently he is a Managing Director within Kroll’s Financial Services Compliance and Regulation practice, specialising in wholesale markets.
Prior to joining Kroll in 2016, Mr Bayley was Head of Department, Markets Policy & International Division at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). He was the FCA’s Senior Markets Adviser and was responsible for leading the policy projects to implement the second iteration of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) and the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
Mr Bayley’s previous roles include Head of Regulation & Head of Trading Services at the London Stock Exchange (LSE), where he had overall responsibility for the regulation and oversight of all the LSE’s markets and for its relationship with other regulatory and law enforcement bodies.
Mr Bayley said: “I am very pleased to have joined the Board of TISEA. I have a deep interest in and experience of regulated exchanges, having worked for and with them since 2003. I am delighted and privileged to be involved with a fast-growing and dynamic exchange like TISE, helping maintain its high standards of regulation whilst also contributing to its strategic direction.”
Mr Bayley joins Chair Mr Trefny on the Board of TISEA, along with executive directors Mark Nicol (Managing Director) and Jon Richards (Head of Market Regulation).
