Among these speakers are Swapnal Kulkarni-Chouhan, Head of Competence Centre – Commercial & Airport Management at Munich Airport International, Germany André Schneider (CEO at Genève Aéroport, Switzerland), Julian Klaaßen (Environmental Engineer & Project Manager at Hamburg Airport, Germany) and Wendy Avis (Director of Climate and Environment at Vancouver Airport Authority, Canada).
Organiser Dr Viktoriia Myroniuk, Senior Lecturer at Salford, said: “It is amazing to have so many influential people speaking this month on this vital topic. We need to make air transport greener and that will be done through collaboration and sharing ideas.
“This series of talks / presentations will facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange between universities and industry, and contribute to shaping a common vision for the future of sustainable air transport.”
