What a fun night this will be!
Strictly Goes to the Movies – Saturday 11th Feb, Empress Ballroom, Blackpool – It’s Shelter’s first local fundraising event in Lancashire.
The event itself is a black-tie dinner event with welcome drink for guests and 3 course meal, before moving onto our Strictly competition. There are two awards on the night, the judges’ winner, and the audience winner. The judges’ winner is the contestant with the highest overall score from the panel of judges. The audience winner is determined by voting on the night via text donation. The winner is the person with the most audience votes.
About Shelter
Shelter exists to fight for a safe, suitable, and affordable home for everyone. Funds raised from our Strictly event will help Shelter’s frontline services to continue providing free and
expert help to thousands of people facing homelessness, as well as helping us to campaign for lasting change. More than 22,000 households in the region, including more than 6,300 children, were officially recorded as homeless as of March last year. This includes people sleeping rough on the streets and families living in temporary accommodation.
