This course supports the upskilling of anyone who is in a supervisory and/or management role in the Care, Early Years and Construction sector only. This will help you develop some key tools and competencies needed to manage and lead others.

This course takes approx. 6 weeks to complete (dependant on commitment) and is delivered in a variety of ways such as taught workshops virtual sessions, self-study and activity/assessment completion.

On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 3 or Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management depending on the level you enrol on to.

Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management

This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes.

To achieve this qualification you must complete two units:

Principles of Management and Leadership – This unit focuses on effective management and leadership approaches and the ways organisations operate.

Managing a Team to Achieve Results – This unit has been developed to support managers in understanding the nature of teams in the workplace, and how these can be managed to achieve results.

 

Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management

This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy, this course includes two units, both of which need successfully completing:

Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context – This unit will evaluate the impact of an organisation’s structure on management and leadership.

Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success – This unit focuses on the principles of managing individuals and teams, and approaches for supporting, motivating and inspiring to exceed expectations.
