Self-employed Income Support Scheme countdown: latest updates

12th May 2020, 1:08 pm

Some new updates about the Self-employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) have been released, including:

  • HMRC’s online checker allows eligibility to be checked and for taxpayers contact details to be added – this is very important as the taxpayer must make the claim themselves once HMRC send an invitation.
  • The online checker also allows taxpayers to create a government gateway account quickly too, this is one of the requirements to make a claim.
  • The online checker tool advises the date on which a taxpayer may submit their claim between 13 and 18 May.
