RTC is proud to announce its new membership with Professional Liverpool, the renowned organisation dedicated to fostering growth across Merseyside’s business community.

This partnership reflects RTC’s commitment to regional economic development, collaboration, and innovation. As a member, RTC aims to actively contribute to and benefit from the networking, events, and resources Professional Liverpool offers, aligning with the shared vision of bolstering Liverpool’s professional landscape.

Phil Adams, CEO, Professional Liverpool commented:

“In a rapidly changing and uncertain world, innovation and adaptability are more important than ever. We’re delighted to welcome RTC North into the PL membership and look forward to the value and support that they’ve bring to members and the wider city region.”

Last month, RTC announced its role in delivering the Supply Chain Readiness Programme, designed to equip businesses with the tools and knowledge to secure and deliver services through successful bid and tender processes. This programme will be delivered in partnership with the Combined Authority’s business support service – Growth Platform, focusing on hosting a series of customised workshops, action plans, and one-to-one support.

With global supply chains facing unprecedented challenges and growing complexity, procurement has become a critical function for business success. The programme will enable companies to gain practical skills and access valuable resources and strategies necessary to navigate and engage effectively in the competitive landscape of supply chain procurement.

Targeted workshops will focus on sectors including, but not limited to, Advanced Manufacturing, Digital and Creative, and Health and Life Sciences, bringing together a combination of tailored face-to-face and online support from industry experts. These masterclasses will give a comprehensive introduction to the procurement bidding process and help businesses understand how to effectively compete when tendering for new opportunities.

Angela Smith, Regional Lead for RTC, commented:

“Joining Professional Liverpool is a significant milestone for RTC. It provides us with a fantastic platform to connect with other professionals and organisations dedicated to the economic development of the region.

“This marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for RTC, filled with opportunities to drive innovation, collaboration, and business excellence in the Liverpool City Region.”

The Introduction to Tendering programme will offer comprehensive training and resources, enabling businesses to navigate the complexities of the tendering process with confidence and effectiveness. It reflects RTC’s ongoing dedication to providing valuable support and fostering the success of local enterprises.

The programme is available to 150 businesses within the Liverpool City Region.

This project is funded from the Liverpool City Region’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocation, managed by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
