Preparing for “Unlocking the Lockdown” Squire Patton Boggs Launches Self-assessment Checklist

Squire Patton Boggs has launched a self-assessment checklist to aid businesses preparing for “unlocking the lockdown” once coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) restrictions in the UK are lifted. The online tool, which takes 10 minutes to complete, helps businesses map out the critical activities they are seeking to deliver, the resources they will need to do so (including workforce, premises, systems and equipment), the mapping of their supply chains, likely customer demand and the financial support that is, or may be, available.

Rob Elvin, managing partner of the Manchester office of Squire Patton Boggs, commented: “The COVID-19 restrictions have meant that most businesses have had to adapt their business models to support new ways of working, addressing issues of supply and demand and, in some cases, temporary closings. As UK restrictions are lifted, it is unlikely that things will return to normal for some time. In order to adapt to a “new normal”, each company must first assess what shape the business is in now and what it will look like in the future.

“Such preparation will help ensure efficient business recovery in the shortest time possible, as and when ‘unlocking’ progresses.”
