Pareto Financial Planning, the award-winning Manchester-based financial services business, recently celebrated its 15 year anniversary. As well as reflecting on the significant growth of the business since it was launched, Pareto’s work to raise money for charity – over £1 million to date – tops the list of achievements.
Pareto Financial Planning, which has grown to employ in excess of 70 experts at its Spinningfields headquarters, advises on more than £1 billion of client funds. It is now one of the largest independent practices in the UK and by 2020 they were ranked in the FTAdviser Top 50, one of only two independently owned Northwest firms to achieve this. Most recently it was named as one of the best financial advisers to work for in the UK – a project from Professional Adviser and Best Companies Group.
Community and charity work has always been an important part of the Pareto philosophy, and over the years it has supported numerous local and national charities and community projects. All Pareto employees embrace this ethos with everyone donating time and raising money in their spare time where they can. In total, more than £1.2 million has been raised by the Pareto team since 2014.
Charities and projects to have benefited include: Rainbow Trust, Beechwood Cancer Care, Manchester Mind, Centrepoint (current), Manchester City of Trees, Lifeshare, Tim Bacon Foundation, Wood Street Mission, The Christie Charitable Fund, Wood Street Mission, Cash for Kids, MedEquipforKids and Boot Out Breast Cancer.
John Stevenson, founder of Pareto Financial Planning, said, “Whether it’s building a business or raising money for charity, hard work pays off. Some of our clients have been with us from the very beginning of our journey and many others have joined us since. I couldn’t be prouder of the Pareto team who day in day out offer levels of service to our clients that way exceed expectations. If that wasn’t enough the team, in its spare time, gives back with energy and enthusiasm to raise much needed funds for charities and projects. Raising such an amount is humbling. Here’s to the next million.”
