Member Spotlight: Jordan Weller, Senior Manager at Deloitte

- Introduce yourself: I’m Jordan Weller, a Senior Manager at Deloitte. I design and deliver AI, Data and Analytics programmes, helping our Retail, Travel and Hospitality clients utilise technology and data to transformation their organisation. Prior to Deloitte I spent 10-years working in commercial roles within Hotels and Travel across Europe and North America, including a couple of years in Manchester. Outside of work I’m completely mad about competing in Hyrox, am an avid skier, and have an incredible 2.5-year-old daughter who keeps me on my toes!
- Career highlight: While I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in countless cities and ski resorts across the world while working within hotels and travel, and to have also been able to help organisations solve some of their biggest challenges through the use of AI, what I am most proud of is the individuals that I’ve been able to support and develop to further their own careers whether through direct management or mentoring. I am incredibly passionate in helping people find their potential and push the boundaries of what they think is possible, and their successes will always mean more than any of my own.
- Name three words that describe your personality: Optimistic, authentic, empathetic.
- What’s the best thing about pro-Manchester: I love the opportunities to meet others across the city to see how we can positively support each other and influence the region.
- What are your priorities for 2024: AI is going to have a huge impact on all businesses, their employees and customers. I’m keen to grow my network so that I can help those transformations take place effectively, safely and ethically, as well as ensuring that there is a people centric design approach to maximise both the benefits and adoption.
- Favourite meeting place in Manchester: I’m a total foodie and with a love of the Austrian Alps, so The Sparrows is perfect. Added that it has a great atmosphere and exceptional service, you can’t go wrong.
- Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet: I’d love to hear from anyone who is thinking about implementing AI into their business, especially those within Retail, Travel and Hospitality, and see how I can help. Whether that’s thinking about the art of the possible, understanding the ethical considerations, wondering how to maximise the benefits for their employees and customers, or simply needing insight and experience to deliver AI safely.
