I’m Jo, HR & Operations Director of Elcons Employment Law Consultants Limited. I have worked in the HR, Legal and Consultancy sector now for nearly 23 years. I am CIPD qualified, people focused, and exceptionally driven.

2. Career highlight

Starting ELCONS from our back bedroom at home, 15 years ago, with only one client who is a business located in the Midlands, to assisting growing ELCONS to who we are today supporting approximately 550 businesses Nationwide.

Bubbly, caring and kind

4. What’s the best thing about pro-manchester

The people and opportunities it presents. We have some attended some wonderful events with excellent speakers who have all been very inspirational with an interesting story to tell.

5. What are your priorities for 2024

To continue to grow ELCONS and retain existing clients. To recruit the right people and business partners for the business to enable this growth. I am heading up a project on wellness managements for our own employees and have already implemented lots of employee incentives and benefits schemes for them.

6. What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester just has that vibe doesn’t it and has that feel good factor. It’s a great location for businesses, and enables people to network easily with its rail and tram network.

7. Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Business or pleasure? Ha ha, that’s a difficult one… there are lots of wonderful places but the washroom near the printworks is fabulous for a team away day… the wonderful cocktails help!

8. Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet

ELCONS would like to be introduced to any business, any sector, any size. As long as they have employees, our services are relevant to them. Even if a business uses a competitor at present, we still would like an opportunity to build a professional business relationship. Who knows, on renewal, we may be able to offer a more cost effective and efficient service!
