Introduce yourself

Hi, my name is Alex O’Sullivan. I’m 22 years old and moved to Manchester just under a year ago from Co. Clare in Ireland. I’m currently working as a sales graduate with Dalata Hotel Group, which I really enjoy. I recently graduated from Shannon College of Hotel Management with a Bachelor of Commerce.

2. Career highlight

One of my proudest achievements was being named Employee of the Month in my second month at the hotel. It was a great recognition of the hard work I put in from the very start, and it motivated me to continue striving for excellence.

3. Name three words that describe your personality

Organised, bubbly, and friendly. I’m someone who likes to stay on top of tasks, bring positive energy to the workplace, and build strong relationships with those around me.

4. What’s the best thing about pro-manchester

Pro Manchester offers great opportunities to network with industry professionals across Greater Manchester, and it’s a brilliant way to connect with other young professionals in the city.

5. What are your priorities for 2025

In 2025, I’m looking forward to supporting the Future Pro committee in expanding our social media presence and to continue growing within my role at the hotel. I’m eager to take on new challenges and contribute to both the team and the organisation’s success.

6. What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

The arrival of new companies setting up headquarters in Manchester is a significant development. This not only strengthens the local economy but also presents exciting opportunities for growth in the hospitality industry, as it brings more business visitors to the city.

8. Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet

I’m open to meeting all kinds of businesses! I enjoy connecting with people from diverse industries and learning about their experiences and challenges.
