Strategic marketing communications agency, MC2, has been appointed by Dow Schofield Watts to handle external communications for the business advisory group.
Founded in 2002, Dow Schofield Watts was an early-disrupter in the professional services sector. It challenges traditional practices by offering a unique licensing model, enabling partners to build their own business and make their own decisions with the support of the back-office infrastructure.
Owned by AIM-listed DSW Capital, the group comprises 25 licensee businesses and employs 110 professionals, including 50 partners. Operating across 12 UK offices, it typically works with owner-managed businesses and their communities to create, protect, and ultimately realise value.
After a competitive tender process, MC2’s professional services team was hired to shape Dow Schofield Watts’ market positioning and lead its public relations and communications efforts nationwide. It will focus on building the value of the brand, as well as attracting ambitious clients and entrepreneurial talent.
The employee-owned agency, which specialises in supporting high-growth businesses, will work alongside the central DSW Capital team, as well as its licensee businesses up and down the country.
Shru Morris, deputy CEO at Dow Schofield Watts, said: “We are committed to expanding our network across the UK to better serve our ambitious clients and their communities. As we entered this next phase of our journey, we needed an agency that understood our industry inside-out and shared our ambitions for growth. We’re excited to build this partnership with MC2 as we look to create further value in the group and attract more brilliant, pioneering talent across the UK.”
Liam Buckley, director at MC2, said: “It’s a privilege to be working alongside Dow Schofield Watts – and further boost our network in the fast-growing professional services sector. As a disruptor in its market, Dow Schofield Watts has been empowering professionals to take charge of their own businesses for more than two decades. As we continue to see growth and consolidation in this space, it’s an exciting time to be part of their journey of becoming the UK’s most sought-after business advisory group.”
