Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has advised healthtech organisation EQL on the rollout of its digital physiotherapy solution, Phio, to Habit Health, New Zealand’s largest integrated health, fitness and physiotherapy rehabilitation provider.
Phio will offer Habit Health’s members instant access to digital assessment of any MSK condition and onward signposting to the suitable care pathways, and for those suitable for self-management, they can begin their digital exercise programme tailored to their clinical needs from Day Zero, with access to clinical support available in the Phio app.
The team from Kuits that worked on the agreement was led by Commercial and IP Associate Rebecca Bainbridge.
Rebecca said: “We are delighted to have helped EQL secure this contract with Habit Health, allowing the business to continue to grow into new territories.
“Phio continues to grow as intuitive concepts, which will support access to MSK healthcare anytime, anywhere, making healthcare easier to integrate into people’s lives.”
Jason Ward, Co-founder and CEO of EQL said: “We created Phio with a mission to improve access to healthcare the world over and we are delighted that Kuits has supported us in allowing this to become a reality at this stage of our journey.
“We look forward to working closely with Habit Health moving forward as we bring our quest for digital-first support to New Zealand — empowering patients to take control in their recovery from muscle and joint injuries.”
