Lockton, the world’s largest global independent insurance broker, have kick-started 2019 with a move to new, larger offices in Manchester, co-created by workspace specialist TSK. Lockton has 1,100 Associates in the UK and offices in 125 countries and the move to 3 Piccadilly Place has revitalised the workplace for its 50 strong team, whilst providing the space for future growth.
TSK supported Lockton’s relocation throughout and created an effective, flexible environment for its team to support the way of working now but also future-proofed in line with their impressive growth plans.
Matt Davies, Partner at Lockton Companies LLP said: “After ten years of consistent year on year growth, we had out grown our previous offices in every sense. The Lockton family see the UK and in particular, the North West as a vibrant business community, are excited about the opportunities that exist and want to support our growth plans. With their backing, we were determined to use this as an opportunity to review the way we work, how cutting edge technology could be best integrated and how we could invest for the future for the benefit of our clients and our Associates.
Our people are our most important asset and are what enables us to stand out in the crowded broker market. We wanted to create a collaborative environment to help us to retain and attract the very best people in the insurance industry. TSK worked with us to engage with our associates throughout the process and since moving into the space, the feedback received has been nothing but positive.”
Ashley Smith, Account Director at TSK, said: “The brief was clear. Lockton were looking for an office which is in keeping with their people centric business, the scale of the organisation and the insurance sector. Most crucially, however, the workspace needed to be effective and designed around the needs of its team right here in Manchester to allow them to flourish and grow.
“There has been great feedback from the team since moving into their new workplace. We’re delighted to have provided an environment that will help build the business’ next chapter of its success story in the region, which is hugely rewarding for our team who co-created this space with the client.”
TSK has a strong track record of working with financial services and legal clients. This latest appointment for TSK comes on the back of recent projects including Irwin Mitchell’s offices in St Peter’s Square, Weightmans in Birmingham and Manchester, as well as AJ Bell’s 4 Exchange Quay (EQ4) which received global recognition for creating a high-performance headquarters.
