A leading property consultancy in Manchester is already experiencing increased revenues as a result of a major merger.

Fisher German’s Manchester office, previously operating as Matthews & Goodman, has experienced significant growth after winning new clients and securing new instructions.

It comes as a direct result of a merger which just last year saw Matthews & Goodman, one of the city’s long-established specialist commercial property advisors, join forces with Fisher German to form a multi-disciplinary property consultancy with 28 offices nationwide.

The Manchester team has already secured new instructions as a result of providing Fisher German’s existing office network with access to new specialist skills such as business rates advice and city centre property acquisition and disposal services, as well as leasehold enfranchisement and commercial investment expertise.

The team has also been able to offer clients specialist services provided by Fisher German, including sustainability and net zero services, planning consultancy, sustainability consultancy and a rural property services capability.

The Manchester office, together with the Liverpool office – also previously operating as Matthews & Goodman – join Fisher German’s Chester and Knutsford sites to form one of the largest providers of multi-disciplinary property services in the North West of England.

David Laws, Partner at Fisher German, said: “The merger has already proved great news for both Matthews & Goodman’s and Fisher German’s clients because they now have direct access to specialists across the commercial, residential and rural property sectors.

“They also have the confidence of knowing that whether working with one, two or more teams of specialists, they are guaranteed an integrated service.

“Whether a client is an owner, landlord or tenant, they are facing an unprecedented combination of challenges. From escalating occupational costs and developing a long-term net zero carbon strategy, to reimaging their property to address structural changes caused by the explosion in hybrid working, there are a lot of changes in the real estate sector to contend with.

“Our combined skills mean that we are now helping clients wrestle with all these issues and emerging with a clear strategy, plan and understanding of what works best for their unique combination of challenges.

“This is why we are such a deep resource for clients based in and operating in the North West.”

As a result of the merger with Matthews & Goodman, Fisher German’s multi-disciplined team now comprises more than 800 proven property professionals, providing a national service from a network of 28 offices nationwide.
