This incredible collection of music and sports memorabilia, 5*holidays, and to-die-for collector’s items have been generously donated to Manchester music legend Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield and his wife, Imelda, for their global online auction to be launched on Friday, 18 November, at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Ballroom, Manchester at a sold-out fundraising night.

This auction will be available for anyone and everyone worldwide. It will be arranged by Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers of Macclesfield, Cheshire. Adam is a familiar face on TV, having appeared as an expert on Bargain Hunt, Cash in the Attic, Flog it! and Dickinson’s Real Deal: Adam commented: “It’s a privilege for Adam Partridge Auctioneers to host this amazing charitable auction for such a worthy cause. The world is your oyster! Everything to bid on and nothing to lose! Lots include Rock & Pop through the decades with signed guitars, gold discs and more. Football memorabilia, artwork, fine wines, gastronomic delights on the white sands of The Maldives, fishing at 16th-century Crathes Castle, or a tour of iconic Coronation Street!”

All proceeds from the online auction and the evening event will go to The Christie Hospital and Stockport NHS Charity, two charities close to Imelda and Mani’s hearts.

Louise Stimson, Head of Fundraising at The Christie charity, said:” ‘We’re really touched that Imelda’s experiences as a patient have spurred her and Mani into action for our charity, helping us provide more support to patients like her. Mani obviously has legendary status in Manchester, and I’m sure all their plans will result in a legendary event and auction too.”

Karen James OBE, Chief Executive for the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, said, “We’re hugely grateful to Imelda and Mani’s efforts in organising this fundraising event and auction. We’re proud of the care Imelda and many others with cancer have received at Stepping Hill Hospital. This fundraiser for our charity is a really touching display of her thanks, which will help us go on to support more patients in the future.”

The sold-out fundraising event at The Kimpton Tower will be introduced by the Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham, who has given his support to the event and auction: “It’s a huge honour to support Imelda and Mani, and everyone else involved with organising this fantastic fundraiser for two excellent organisations, The Christie Hospital and the Stockport NHS Charity. Most of us will have friends and family who have been affected by cancer, so it’s an incredibly worthwhile cause.”

Hosted by musician, writer and broadcaster John Robb, the event will feature DJ sets from Mani himself, Clint Boon and Luke Una, with live performances from RowettaDanielle Moore (Crazy P), the Tall Faces and other unannounced guests. Plus, Manchester’s Art Battle will provide some live art, with finished artwork auctioned on the night. There will also be the opportunity to win many fantastic raffle prizes donated by bands, footballers, actors, venues and promoters.

This event also happens during Mani’s birthday week, so it will be a night of celebrations as well as fundraising, as he says: “When life deals you a pair of twos, you have to get your game face on! These past two years since Imelda’s diagnosis have been brutal in so many ways, but it’s also opened our eyes to so many things.. This disease needs to be eradicated ~ we feel duty-bound to do our bit to achieve this. So, everybody get on board, dig deep, help out. We will win!”

The online auction will go live on Friday, 18 November. Aside from the items mentioned above, Lots include signed presentation discs from The Stone Roses and Johnny Marr; signed guitars from the Foo Fighters, The Who, and Peter Hook; Sunburst (Silver Glow), a stunning digital print by Jim Lambie; a 7-night stay in a French country estate; a year’s supply of wine from  Cork of the North; Liam Gallagher‘s personal NME Gold award; an overnight stay at Manchester’s Stock Hotel with a pre-dinner drink in Sterling Bar, dinner for 2 in Tom Kerridge‘s Bull & Bear Restaurant and breakfast the following morning with members of The Class of ’92! Plus, there are paintings, prints, restaurant dinners and a whole lot more!
