How to Develop the People Skills of Line Managers: Practical Tips
3rd November 2022, 12:51 pm
The Good Employment Learning Lab at Manchester Met is delighted to invite our company partners to join us at our half day interactive event to learn from our research to understand how to develop people management skills, having trained over 350 people managers in Greater Manchester and the North West .
Working with the CIPD, Skills for Care, The Good Employment Charter and other key partners, the Lab has delivered and evaluated short training interventions in the adult social care sector, and across all sectors in Greater Manchester, to learn ‘what works, for whom, and how’ when developing the people skills of line managers. We have designed interventions that the research evidence tells us are likely to work and to find out what works in different contexts, and we’d be delighted to learn more about your experience and ideas.
In this event, we’ll present our approach to programme design and evaluation, and our findings. And – crucially – we’ll give you, the audience, an opportunity to reflect together on how our learning can help your organisation to develop the people management practices of line managers. And, how this can aid good work and productivity in your workplace.
