GP Bullhound acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Flightright GmbH (“Flightright”) on the sale to Intermedia.
Founded in 2010 in Potsdam, Flightright is the leading European air passenger claims management company enforcing air passenger claims from delayed or canceled flights. Their unique platform combines analytics, a massive database, automation and prediction models to assess the probability of success for a claim to be enforced. With its network of European lawyers Flightright can also choose the most advantageous jurisdictions to enforce a claim. Flightright has enforced over EUR 200m in claim value against airlines. Its court success rate of 99% makes it a reliable partner for consumers, offering them a risk-free solution via a “no-win, no-fee model”.
The transaction is subject to German cartel clearance.
Philipp Kadelbach, Founder of Flightright, commented: “We are happy that we have found a partner that can open new doors for us in order to build on our vision to become the leading legal tech platform across various disciplines, and provide end-to-end services in fields outside of air passenger claims, such as for example the recently founded subsidiary for labour rights management. GP Bullhound has been an instrumental partner in preparing and executing the transaction.”
Sebastian Markowsky, Director at GP Bullhound, commented: “It has been a pleasure to advise the Managing Directors of Flightright, in my opinion the most advanced legal tech platform to date in Germany and Europe. We are convinced that the company has found a strong partner in Intermedia, which will facilitate to add further products to the platform to extend the offering far beyond its current scope of business.”
This represents GP Bullhound’s 5th transaction in 2019 and further underlines the firm’s expertise in advising category leaders in the technology sector.
