Accountancy and business advisory firm Cowgills has been appointed by another long-standing Bolton-based firm, Gordon Moon Properties.
The family-run property company, established in 1962 by Gordon Moon, is today headed up by his grandson James Gordon.
Commenting on the appointment of Cowgills, managing director James Gordon, said: “Our family business has been based in Bolton for nearly 60 years and we are delighted to appoint Cowgills as we continue to shape the future of the company.
“Cowgills specialise in supporting growing and entrepreneurial businesses and, although established for a long time, in recent years we have been undergoing a significant period of change. It is important for us to continue to progress and it helps to have our primary business advisors right on the doorstep.
“I feel their knowledge of our home town and the property investment market will help provide tailored advice as I plan to discuss many aspects of our business with them. Their support will be of great benefit to the successful evolution of our company.”
Commenting on the company’s appointment Cowgills’ head of property and construction Stuart Stead said: “Although it has been in the family for three generations Gordon Moon Properties is undergoing a rapid period of change and growth under James’ stewardship and we are delighted to be able to support them at this exciting time for the business.
“They are exactly the kind of business which we love to work with, where success comes from working closely together to understand its needs so we can plan for continued growth and success.”
Gordon Moon Properties is a privately funded company which upgrades, refurbishes, reconfigures and regenerates assets and areas to maximise their potential. It has office, retail, leisure, residential and land holdings in Bolton, Oldham, Manchester and Warrington.
