GM Chamber of Commerce – Quarterly Economic Survey Q4 2023

Even as inflation is easing, higher interest rates have pushed up financing costs and the cost of doing business crisis is still impacting many businesses adversely. The UK economy has been stagnant for several quarters. The Chancellor will announce his Autumn Statement on 22nd November. What should the Chancellor do to help businesses and families?

The quarterly GM Business & Economic Survey is your opportunity to express your views and have your voice heard. The survey is part of the UK’s largest and longest running independent survey of business sentiment. Fieldwork for this quarter’s survey has started and I would appreciate if you would take part. By participating, you’ll be contributing to vital, regular insights on our regional economy. We will take your concerns up with the highest levels of government.
