The full schedule for Clarke Willmott’s popular Housing Week has been announced with a series of webinars covering everything going on in the social housing sector now.
The firm’s flagship event series, Housing Week, takes place across three days from 10-12 October when experts from Clarke Willmott’s leading social housing team, alongside some guest speakers, provide insight into hot topics in the industry.
Thirteen webinars have been planned by the team with spotlight events including ‘Understanding the legal implications of RAAC’; ‘EV Charging Points – what you need to know’; and ‘Standards and Responsibilities Update’.
Housing providers, local authorities, contractors, banking specialists and other industry experts across England and Wales are invited to register for the free events which will also include Q&A sessions.
Vicky Kells, joint head of Clarke Willmott’s social housing sector, said: “We are pleased to be delivering our insightful Housing Week series of webinars once again for 2023.
“The wide variety of topics we cover across the three days not only showcases our expertise, but also provides an excellent forum for sharing ideas and knowledge with others.
“This year our schedule is bigger than ever with 13 events in total. This includes three spotlight webinars as well as others covering topics such as recovering service charges, an update on planning law and key commercial considerations in social housing. The final session on Day 1, looking at the renter’s reform bill, is being extended into two webinars in one. The new topic being added to this session, aimed at social landlords, is in partnership with energy consultants The Monarch Partnership, and will look at how to get the best value for your residents from energy pricing.”
Clarke Willmott’s team of specialist social housing solicitors is one of the largest in the UK, acting for over 100 Registered Providers as well as major frameworks including HALA, CHIC, SEC and ASW.
Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton and is, this year, celebrating its 135th anniversary.
Lindsay Felstead, who heads up Clarke Willmott’s social housing team alongside Vicky Kells, said: “Clarke Willmott has a well-established reputation in the property and social housing sectors and our Housing Week has become a key event on the industry’s calendar.
“We work hard to stay at the forefront of thought leadership and we are pleased to have secured some excellent guest speakers to provide a well-rounded and not-to-be-missed series of events.”
