Four Recruitment is expanding

Bolton based recruitment company, Four has welcomed new consultant Victoria Jolley to the team.
A recent graduate from Nottingham University, Victoria brings bags of enthusiasm to this new role in the company’s Lancashire team.
Victoria was originally introduced to the company on an introductory 14 day trial scheme – a new concept for the business.
As Victoria is a recent graduate and was very much still determining what her future career will be, the purpose of the trial scheme was to see if recruitment is the right career path for her.
Operations director Phil Sofield said: “The current economic uncertainty can, in some cases, cause businesses to halt their recruitment strategy, however we believe hiring strategically and transparently is paramount and continuing the growth of our business is vital.
Four prides itself on stepping outside of the box when it comes to internal recruitment, taking risks on people they see great potential in. Over the duration of her trial period Victoria has proven she has the skills and traits that Four look for when making an entry level hire and she is now being mentored by co-owner, Phil Sofield.
Phil says: “In uncertain times it is easy to become risk averse and go with the safe option when recruiting. However in doing so you can miss out on the untapped talent which is often found in graduates.”
He added: “Over the last two weeks we have seen bundles of enthusiasm and dedication from Victoria, who is proof that experience isn’t everything when hiring.
“We look for a certain passion for the job and a particular set of skills and traits when recruiting future consultants. Victoria ticks all those boxes.”
On her new role Victoria said: “I’m really excited to accept a position at Four and to see where the future leads as a recruitment consultant. It’s been great to be welcomed into a company with such a strong reputation – and a lovely office!
“As I graduated into a rocky job market, I feel extremely grateful to have found a permanent position in such an exciting company and I can now help others on their career journey.
“I already feel like I have learnt a lot in the short time I’ve been here and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can achieve through my continued training programme”
Four Recruitment has plans to expand its team further in the coming months with a number of key senior positions and entry level appointments.
