28th July 2020, 11:23 am
27 July 2020 – DLA Piper are set to launch the fifth edition of the DLA Piper European Technology Index report 2020, a study that explores the perceptions and attitudes of European technology growth.
The launch webinar, scheduled for Friday 31 July, will focus on the key findings of the report, including the latest themes and innovations set to impact the Technology sector. A panel of DLA Piper partners will host the webinar, including Kit Burden, Global Co-Head of the Technology sector at DLA Piper.
As in previous years, the research includes insights from 350 senior business executives across Europe, in the fields of technology, financial services and the public sector, who work in companies with annual turnovers ranging from EUR10m to in excess of EUR10bn. Yet again this has generated some fascinating insights, shedding light on general trends and more specifically the impacts of COVID-19 on the sectors in question. Data was collected in April and May 2020, during the height of the lockdown in most countries, but also with countries taking part at different stages of their pandemic strategies.
The 2020 report focuses on current important innovations and topics including:
- Artificial intelligence (AI)/robotics
- 5G
- Data monetisation
- Acquisition of external businesses
- Fintech
- Internet of things (IoT)/connectivity
- Cyber security
- Brexit (UK leaving the EU)
If you would like to register to attend the launch webinar on Friday 31 July from 14:00 – 15:30pm, please visit the event webpage.
