Cowgills Launches North West Homebuilder Awards
3rd August 2020, 11:28 am
Leading North West accountant and business advisor, Cowgills is launching a new awards initiative to celebrate and support the region’s SME housebuilders and developers.
The North West Homebuilder Awards is the first of its kind in the UK and will specifically acknowledge the hard work being undertaken by SMEs to meet the region’s housing requirements.
Led by Cowgills, with input from a number of contributors to the North West residential housing market, the awards will take place in late 2021.
Cowgills Head of property and construction Stuart Stead commented: “We believe that SME housebuilders and developers, are and will remain, crucial in tackling the housing crisis and contribute significantly to the North West economy.
“We are delighted to be able to announce these awards, particularly during a time which has been extremely challenging. It demonstrates our complete commitment and confidence in the sector.”
All categories will be open exclusively for entry by SME’s with the focus of the awards on the work being completed by housebuilders and developers. However, they will also recognise the businesses which contribute to tackling the perennial challenges from unlocking sites to planning, finance and tackling development bureaucracy.
The evening will be a little different to the traditional black tie and dinner format, taking a more casual approach. Cowgills has appointed leading events company Mix Group to ensure the event is truly unique and memorable. Mix Group has previously organised events such as The NSPCC Childline Ball, and the Hacienda 40th birthday celebration.
Added Stuart: “The property sector thrives on relationships. We want attendees to the North West Homebuilder Awards make new contacts, celebrate with their colleagues, clients and suppliers and to have a lot of fun on the night. The awards will not be profit making so we can deliver the highest possible quality of event for our nominees and guest and we will also be supporting a number of charitable causes.
“We will be bringing together funders, planners, and those involved in government, alongside other professions. Whilst recognising the great work that housebuilders and developers are currently doing, we also want to provide access to those who can help deliver future growth in the sector.”
Further details including how to get involved or enter will be revealed in the coming months. If you would like more information, please contact [email protected]
