Continued growth for TLT in Manchester with five-strong HRC Law corporate team hire

UK law firm TLT is continuing to grow its Manchester office with the hire of HRC Law’s five-strong corporate team, including partners Richard Life and Mark Traynor; plus associates Sherrelle Scott and William Ngan and solicitor Jennifer Kelly.
The team brings a wealth of experience advising across a number of sectors including digital, childcare/nursery, automotive and retail & consumer goods and on a range of corporate matters from acquisitions and disposals to company governance and secretarial services.
The hire is part of TLT’s ongoing growth in Manchester and follows the recent arrival of construction partner Sean McCay and insolvency & disputes partner Claire Graham. The HRC Law team join existing TLT corporate partners Elizabeth Delaney, Andrew Needham and Ian Roberts.

Recent deals on which the firm has advised include the sale of TV production company re:production to Dentsu Aegis Network, the sale of creative agency BJL – also to Dentsu and food manufacturer Wholebake Limited’s acquisition of energy ball brand ‘Bounce’. The firm has also supported clients including K3 Capital Group, Green Hedge International, Boohoo and Superbike Factory on corporate matters.
About the team
Richard Life advises across a number of sectors including digital, healthcare and retail & consumer goods and is an expert in private equity and fast growth. Prior to joining HRC Law. Richard was head of legal at Manchester-based fashion retailer Bench. He is returning to TLT having been an associate at the firm from 2013 – 2015.
Mark Traynor has particular experience working with businesses in the automotive and childcare/nursery sectors and is an expert in M&A, private equity and the SME market. Mark has been at HRC Law since 2013 and was previously a corporate solicitor at Brabners.
Sherrelle Scott has a broad range of corporate transactional experience supporting businesses in sectors including digital, fashion and childcare/nursery.
William Ngan is a chartered tax adviser and corporate law expert advising businesses on the tax aspects of business acquisitions and disposals and employee share option and share incentive arrangements.
Jennifer Kelly advises SMEs and start-up businesses on their corporate and commercial needs across a number of sectors.
