National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has kicked off the New Year with a boost to its housebuilder team as a new Partner joins.
With a particular focus on housebuilders and real estate development Billy Poulter has a strong North West reputation for his work in real estate and will be based in the firm’s Manchester office.
Having worked for two other leading law firms as well as the Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England) Billy brings a wealth of experience to the growing property division at Clarke Willmott.
Billy has advised developers/housebuilders, public sector and Registered Provider clients on acquisitions and sales of land for development purposes. He has particular experience in acting on development sites with a collaboration between the public and private sector.
The appointment highlights the strength of the Manchester office’s property offering which includes four well-respected senior partners with extensive experience across all aspects of commercial and residential property. Billy joins the team to work with clients like Vistry Group, Barratt Homes and Persimmon Homes.
Clarke Willmott CEO, Peter Swinburn, said: “Our multi-disciplinary, multi-office Housebuilder sector is continually expanding its practice to meet demands and Billy is the latest example of that expansion.
“At Clarke Willmott we are regarded as leading legal advisers to the residential development sector, acting for three of the nation’s five largest housebuilder firms. We also advise strategic land companies, smaller traditional builders and niche start-up ventures.
“Billy has a strong North West presence and will be a great asset to our teams there.”
Clarke Willmott’s commercial property team was further bolstered recently with the addition of Partner Kevin Richardson.
