Clarke Willmott Boosts Contentious Construction Team

Law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has appointed a new senior associate to its contentious construction team.
Rebecca Harries-Williams joins the firm from Foot Anstey, having previously trained at Allen & Overy with further experience gained at Simmons and Simmons. Rebecca will work closely with Clarke Willmott’s construction and social housing teams.
Although based in Bristol, Rebecca will work with teams across all of Clarke Willmott’s offices. In particular, she will work closely with James Driver, head of contentious construction.
Priscilla Hall, national Head of Construction at Clarke Willmott, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rebecca to the firm. She strengthens our already very strong national construction offering. She is one of three new recruits who have joined the construction team this month. We will be announcing two further recruits who will be joining us in October and November.
“Rebecca has advised employers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants in a range of engineering and construction disputes, including professional negligence, interim applications final account disputes and a range of defects. With significant High Court litigation experience, Rebecca has also undertaken adjudication and arbitration work.
“This experience paired with Rebecca’s pragmatic approach to her work will mean she is a great asset to us and our clients. Part of Rebecca’s role will be to grow strong links with the social housing sector, allowing us to provide those clients with the best contentious construction advice.”
