Claritas Solutions expands to Alderley Park as it sets up North West team

7th December 2022, 11:17 am

Claritas Solutions, a privately-owned technology company that designs, develops and supplies a broad range of cloud and infrastructure software solutions, including IT health checks and PEN testing, has announced its move to Glasshouse at Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park. The move forms part of its delivery commitment to support two existing and growing Government projects over the next five years and reflects an ambition to tap into the North West’s growing tech economy.

Claritas’ new 6,356 sq ft hub provides the technology firm with high quality workspaces, balcony and breakout areas, specifically designed to boost innovation through collaboration. Glasshouse, which opened in February 2020, is already home to more than 60 technology and forward-thinking businesses working in areas such as fintech, AI, digital health, software development, and gaming. Set in idyllic surroundings in the heart of 400 acres of parkland, Alderley Park offers an array of amenities for businesses and their employees to enjoy, including a gym and sports complex, pub and restaurant, community events programme, and scenic walking, running and cycling routes.

In moving to the prestigious campus, Claritas will benefit from joining Bruntwood SciTech’s national network of over 500 science and tech businesses, including Alderley Park and Bruntwood SciTech’s three Manchester city campuses, which contribute to Greater Manchester’s thriving thriving tech cluster of more than 10,000 digital and tech businesses, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Cisco, and SAP.

Locating at Alderley Park will also support Claritas’ ambition to access a greater pool of technical engineering talent across the region, benefitting from Bruntwood SciTech’s business support offering which includes access to talent through strong academic and alternative training partnerships, as well as funding and access into new markets.

The move will bolster Claritas’ established portfolio of Government contracts. The company is already providing digital, logistical and support services for a number of vital Government projects that will ensure delivery of complex digital transformation, ensuring the UK is ready for a safer future. This follows on from the role the business played in a number of highly sensitive and complicated projects to adapt and manage volumes of complex data securely. Claritas has developed strong relationships with various Government departments and other stakeholders, introducing a number of significant digital capabilities which have helped make the services they deliver for Government partners more efficient.

Derek Baker, Claritas’s Technical Director, said: “We’re all incredibly excited to officially open our new office in the North West at Alderley Park; the region has a thriving talent pool and this shows our growing commitment to invest in the right people and the right locations. 2022 has been a significant year for our work with the UK’s public sector, and we are very committed to be at the heart of change for our customers and partners.

“Studies have shown that incorporating spaces for relaxation within offices can lead to improved employee happiness, well-being, and application – all leading to increased productivity. By bringing together our teams in the North West under one roof their dedication and commitment will be integral to us thriving.”

Josh Whiteley, Head of Commercial at Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood and Legal & General, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Claritas Solutions to Alderley Park for the next part of its growth journey. In just two years, Glasshouse has welcomed a wide range of forward-thinking, tech-enabled businesses who recognise the benefits of being co-located with other transformative organisations. Glasshouse provides access to a wide range of outstanding amenities and a place to collaborate, network and grow. We’re looking forward to welcoming the Claritas team to the community as we continue to invest in Glasshouse and the wider offer at Alderley Park.”
