Chamber calls on business community to help tackle skills shortages
16th December 2022, 1:45 pm
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is working on the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for our region and we’d like you to be a part of it.
Having been appointed by the Department for Education to deliver the LSIP, it is our role to identify the skills gaps and labour shortages in all sectors and boroughs of Greater Manchester, then work alongside skills providers in each area to ensure there is provision in place to upskill individuals and fill those skills gaps. The aim is to ensure that businesses have the skilled workers they need to succeed and thrive.
We are running a number of online sector forums in January and February 2023 and if your business has been affected by skills shortages and you’ve struggled to recruit individuals with the skills your business needs, please join us and share your experiences.
This is your opportunity to make your voice heard, listen to the experiences of other businesses in your sector and be part of the solution – helping to futureproof your business.
