Bruntwood works unveils new look for wellbeing-centered Marsland

Workspace and leisure provider Bruntwood Works has revealed the transformation of its newly refurbished Marsland building – formerly known as Marsland House – in the desirable town of Sale, Greater Manchester. 

Through its refurbishment, Bruntwood Works aims to enhance productivity and wellbeing for the building’s working community, as well as foster a welcoming, collaborative environment. The workspace provider has achieved this with a design-led overhaul of its communal, reception and entrance area. A stand-out feature is the striking biophilic art installation and welcome wall in the foyer, designed to improve the working environment and reduce stress. 

Part of the ‘welcome wall’, the living art feature in the main reception is expected to enhance the arrival experience, further complemented by comfortable seating areas and ambient lighting. Refurbishments also included an extensive upgrade of the lift lobbies, corridors, and facilities throughout the building completed by a stripped back and exposed design. Raised ceiling height has also added to the modern yet industrial feel of the building – making it the first space of its kind in Sale. 

Conveniently situated in close proximity to Manchester city centre, opposite Brooklands Metrolink Station, Marsland provides high-quality workspaces for those businesses seeking a local office. Bruntwood Works is equipped to tailor a bespoke office solution to suit the needs of each business – which increasingly means a city centre HQ and a geographically distributed network of offices in the surrounding suburbs.

The transformation project was undertaken in partnership with CubicWorks, a leading construction, fit-out and refurbishment contractor launched by Bruntwood in October 2020. The business adopts a consultative and partnership-led approach to deliver end-to-end project management and has recently completed the ground-floor refurbishment of Trafford House in Old Trafford.
