A New Economic Strategy for Manchester

12th October 2023, 10:30 am

We’re writing a new Economic Strategy for Manchester and we want to make sure it works for the whole city.

The Economic Strategy will set out the Council’s vision for the next phase of Manchester’s growth.

We spoke to people and organisations from across Manchester and from these conversations, we have identified five overarching priorities, which are further underpinned by specific objectives:
Use investment and development to drive inclusive growth
Nurture thriving, productive and innovative businesses
Develop world class infrastructure, places and talent
Transition to a zero carbon and resilient economy
Include more people in economic opportunity
The strategy will complement the city’s existing Transport, Housing, Digital, Work and Skills Strategies and Climate Change Framework.

We want your views on whether these priorities are the right ones to guide the economic growth of our city. Complete our survey by Sunday 22 October to have your say.
