International pro-manchester: Trailblazing across the globe 

It’s been a twelve months like no other and whilst there have been challenges, we have also seen some unexpected opportunities too. Not least the chance to attract an international audience to some of our largest events. 

Friday 2nd July saw our flagship event Trailblazing Tech Conference hosted in hybrid format, live from The Lowry Hotel Manchester and digitally streamed to those joining us from home or further afield. 

Delegates were able to join us from countries including France, Portugal and Turkey allowing the event to go global for the first time ever, and it wasn’t just the delegates who provided an international outlook with speakers from Japan, The Netherlands and Spain joining our line-up for the first time. 

Is this the future of events? 

We think so, we’ve worked closely with our friends in the events industry over the past year and it seems the international reach of events which are either wholly or partly virtual is becoming a real trend, from meet ups to larger events it’s now easier than ever before to join from a different country, in a different time zone and to connect with the networks and topics most important to you. 

Is pro-manchester going global? 

Well, maybe not just yet! We have always been about Manchester and the North West business community and that will never change, but we are delighted to welcome global members to our wider community as a result of our hybrid events and in doing so creating even more valuable connections for our members in markets and sectors that they may not have had access to before.
