Manchester Coffee Roulette – getting to know your peers; Brought to you by pro-manchester & JCI Manchester: #UnitedForInclusion
National Inclusion Week is designed to celebrate everyday inclusion in all its forms to celebrate, share and inspire inclusion practices. Every year National Inclusion Week has a theme and in 2021 it is about unity.
National Inclusion Week 2021 will take place from 27 September – 3 October and as part of the celebrations pro-manchester and JCI Manchester are uniting together for this special event to mark the week and celebrate the diversity that bringing organisations together facilitates.
For everyday of Inclusion Week, Inclusive Employers (the organisers of the week) have created Daily Actions that bring the #UnitedForInclusion theme to life.
On Friday the theme is: Unite your colleagues: How well do colleagues know each other?
We know that inclusive cultures will grow from inclusive foundations. How well do colleagues in your organisation know each other? So we are organising a special networking session over coffee to introduce you to the week and each other including a coffee roulette where you’ll be randomly paired to expand your network, consider actions that can be taken to be more inclusive and hear best practice.
It’s a great opportunity for peers whose job paths might not cross to find out more about each other, so register below to join us on the Friday... why not bring along a colleague?

JCI Manchester is part of the global JCI Network. JCI is a global, not-for-profit organisation for 18 to 40 year olds, run by its members for its members. JCI’s mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. JCI members are from many different backgrounds, cultures and professions, but all share common values and passion to develop themselves and support and improve their communities.
Through workshops, projects and organisational boards, members are able to gain practical experience not always available in their work environments. They can develop new skills outside their usual day-to-day experience, take on leadership positions years ahead of when they might be offered in the workplace and learn from people with different personalities, perspectives and experiences. JCI events offer a open and supportive environment, where members are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, experiment and learn by doing.
Membership of JCI is all about opportunities: to gain cv-enhancing skills, give back to your community, network with business leaders, experience new cultures and have a lot of fun. In fact we have five areas of opportunity: personal development, community, business, international and social. You can read more about them here.
JCI UK has local chambers around the country and activities are organised local, regionally and nationally. You can find a full list of local chambers through out the UK here, including JCI Manchester!. When you become a member of JCI, you are not just joining your local chamber but a global network. You will be welcome at JCI events in other chambers all over the world. JCI is present in over 100 countries so the possibilities are endless.
