Great work is being done in Greater Manchester to support businesses in initiating or accelerating the design and implementation of decarbonisation plans, and to prepare them for new reporting standards. This breakfast event will feature experts in sustainability reporting and carbon accounting, alongside local leaders who will share their case studies and on-the-ground experiences of driving their businesses towards becoming carbon neutral.

This event is ideal for accounting or ESG professionals who want to learn more about upcoming changes to both national and international reporting standards. It also offers an excellent opportunity to gain insights and network with those leading the agenda in both best practice and business support in Greater Manchester.
The event will include networking, a panel discussion, and questions and answers.

This event is in collaboration with the ICAEW and Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Bee Net Zero project.

Event objectives:

- Initiate and Accelerate Decarbonisation Plans: Encourage businesses, especially SMEs, to start or expedite the design and implementation of their decarbonisation strategies.

- Clarify Regulatory Landscape: Provide a clear understanding of the current regulatory landscape from an accounting and ESG perspective.- Future Outlook: Inform attendees about upcoming changes and requirements in the field.

- Highlight Early Action Benefits: Emphasise the advantages of starting decarbonisation efforts sooner rather than later.

- Showcase Available Support: Highlight the range of support available to businesses from Bee Net Zero, ICAEW, and their partners, reinforced with relevant case studies and examples.
