GC Business Finance is a responsible, not-for-profit alternative lender dedicated to supporting startups, SMEs, and businesses aiming to grow and thrive. Based in Manchester and part of The Growth Company, we specialise in helping businesses that struggle to secure funding through traditional banks.
Funded by the British Business Bank and the Northern Power Investment Fund, our mission is to foster business start-ups and growth in Greater Manchester, the North West, and across the UK. We offer a range of government and private debt and equity funding options to startups, early-stage, and small businesses, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Our Services Include:
- National Start Up Loans Scheme: Personal loans for businesses trading for less than 3 years, with loan values ranging from £500 to £25k per business owner/director.
- NPIF II Fund: Growth business loans for any SME in the North West, with loan values between £25k and £100k.
- Equity Finance: Through our GC Angels brand, we provide equity finance to early-stage businesses, raising up to £2m in investment from direct funding and our co-investors.
Since 2002, GC Business Finance has been a cornerstone of the small business ecosystem, delivering over £1.03bn in funding to more than 76,000 SME businesses.
