Leading business support organisation GM Business Growth Hub has launched new wellbeing support for hospitality businesses.
Whilst running a business in the hospitality sector can be incredibly rewarding, it can also come with unique challenges that can take a toll on your wellbeing. That’s why GM BGH has launched this new support. This event will give business owners the tools to reduce the stress of running a hospitality business and help you recognise the signs of burnout in time to take a timeout. Attendees will also have the chance to try different stress reducing techniques like art therapy and how to become more self-aware.
Attendees to the event on the 4th March, at Fire Up Rochdale, will see an inspiring presentation by renowned chef Mary-Ellen McTague, soon to open her new restaurant, Pip, at the Treehouse Hotel in central Manchester.
Having navigated the challenges of the hospitality sector herself, Mary-Ellen will share her personal journey, highlighting the difficulties she has faced and the proactive steps she’s taken to make staff wellbeing a core focus of her business.
“Wellbeing for both me and my team mean a better work environment and better business overall. My journey has shown me the value of this, and I am happy to share my experiences so that others can avoid the same problems.
This free event is ideal for anyone running a business in the hospitality sector, including restaurant and café owners, hotel managers, catering entrepreneurs, suppliers and other professionals who want to create a healthier, more sustainable approach to work.
Yvonne Sampson, Head of Enterprise, GM Business Growth Hub: “The hospitality sector is a vital one for Greater Manchester. We’re known for our amazing culture and nightlife. But it’s under a lot of pressure at the moment.
