About the Speakers:

Ed Foulkes Partner, National Head of Corporate team - Clarke Willmott

Ed joined Clarke Willmott in July 2012 from corporate boutique Lockett Loveday McMahon.

He is a ‘pragmatic and practical’ corporate lawyer dealing primarily with mergers and acquisitions. He has specialisms in the financial services, fintech and technology sectors.

Munoyo Ikomi Commercial Tech and IP Solicitor - Clarke Willmott

Munoyo Ikomi is a skilled Commercial Tech and IP Solicitor at Clarke Willmott, with a particular focus on legal issues surrounding emerging technologies.

With experience advising businesses on IT contracts, corporate transactions, and intellectual property, she helps clients navigate the legal challenges in tech-driven sectors.

As an active member of the Society for Computers and Law, she stays at the forefront of tech innovation. Munoyo’s experience, coupled with her passion for AI, cloud computing, and fintech make her a valuable contributor to discussions on the future of wealth management.

 

John Chapman Chartered Accountant - Catalyst Partners

John is a chartered accountant having trained with EY. He worked in senior positions in a number of financial services businesses, including the Finance Director of a Japanese-owned private equity firm, prior to becoming Managing Director of Torquil Clark, the national IFA business, in 2003.

He led the business through an organic and acquisition growth strategy resulting in the acquisition of four businesses in eighteen months and the ultimate sale of the business in 2008 to Skipton Building Society. John remained with the organisation and guided the continued growth of the business. John stayed with the organisation until the end of 2015 when he left to set up the consulting business which would eventually become The Catalysts LLP.

John’s background in running a diverse IFA group and buying and selling businesses within the sector gives him a unique insight into M&A strategy, integration and developing businesses of value.
