-Baltic Ventures have launched the applications for their second cohort. Applications are open here. A reminder that this is a Liverpool-based accelerator programme with £30k equity investment.

-Barclays Demo Directory launch will be taking place with Form Studio, Baltic Ventures, Praetura and Barclays in Liverpool – 22nd May.

–Founder F*ck Ups – the next instalment will be coming soon in early July. Keep your eyes peeled for news on Prolific North! Let us know if you have any founder panel recommendations.

-TIC launch – Turin Innovation catalyst showcase lands next Thursday with talks and panels from leaders in the AI start up ecosystem.

–Climb24 is on the horizon in Leeds, a must for any start up in the North (5-6th June 2024)

–Manchester Digital and Innovate Lancashire both win Barclays Eagle Labs funding to support start ups in the NW!

-Flip MCR is back on the 20th June, a great mix of founders and investors in the heart of Manchester.

-Liverpool City Region Innovation Investment Summit 2024 will take place on the 16th May.

🎉PraeSeed Applications Are Open🎉

The Praetura team have launched a new cohort investment programme for preseed founders in the North. Beginning in June, the programme will be based in Praetura’s Manchester office and run over a six-week assessment period. The workshops will be delivered by experts and later stage founders to help the cohort benefit from their previous experience in scaling companies.

Applications are now open and will close on the 27th May. 

10 businesses will be given a place with up to 7x £200k investments available at the end of the assessment period. The programme will run over 5 years and look to invest over £6m into 35 start-up businesses.

💥NPIF II applications

After the launch of NPIFII – Praetura Equity Finance, we have seen a record number of applications through. A reminder that we’re looking for businesses in the NW of England interested in equity investment of up to £5m. We are sector agnostic, but will generally focus on high growth markets.

We’ve got further dates planned for the NPIF II roadshows across the NW, these include Daresbury (9th May), Blackburn (20th June), Chester (coming soon) and Cumbria (coming soon). More information can be found here.

As a reminder, our GMC Life Sciences Fund by Praetura, EIS Growth Fund and Growth VCT remain open for applications in addition to NPIFII. All businesses will be assessed through one single pitch form to ensure they are matched with the most suitable fund.
