Member Spotlight: Chanel Goy, Business Development Manager – Hotel Football

Hi, I’m Chanel and I am the Business Development Manager at Hotel Football, with a key focus on Match Days. I have worked within the hospitality segment for over 14 years, working in various locations, such as Australia, London and most recently Manchester.

2. Career highlight – Being invited to judge the Hotel Catey’s two consecutive years in a row, was a proud moment for myself. However, a memorable highlight for me was being trusted to look after Sir Alex Ferguson and other very high-profile guests we welcome into the hotel. Additionally, transitioning from the Guest Relations Manager to the Business Development Manager marked a significant milestone in my career that I am very proud of.

4. What’s the best thing about Pro-Manchester: The education sessions that are on offer and the chance to connect with like minded individuals across the city.

5. What are your priorities for 2024: To build my profile within the city, and spread the word about our Match Day Experience we offer at Hotel Football on Manchester United Premier League home games.

6. What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment? It’s becoming a destination where people are confident to do business. One of our Co Owners, Gary Neville is part of an exciting development – St Michaels, which I believe is a game changer for the city.

7. Favourite meeting place in Manchester – Naturally, I am going to say Hotel Football. However, my local is The Laundrette based in Chorlton. It’s dog friendly with a great menu.

8. Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet: I would love to meet as many businesses as possible and spread the word about our Match Day Experience.
