Let’s remember people lost to HIV, show our solidarity with people living with HIV around the world and commit ourselves to ending HIV stigma and discrimination.
World AIDS Day, held annually on 1 December since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV, and mourning those we lost.
Please support the PaSH Partnership’s HIV support and prevention work with a donation by texting WAD to 70450 to donate £3.*
Around 105,200 people in the UK are currently living with HIV – around 6000 of whom live in Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester is a ‘Fast Track City’ region committed to ending all new transmissions of HIV by 2030.

The Sunday Boys present… A Very Queer Christmas 2023
Manchester Cathedral, Saturday 2 December, 7pm
The Sunday Boys are back with their annual Christmas concert, exploring the meaning of the festive season through a queer lens.
Now a staple in the queer Christmas calendar, A Very Queer Christmas 2023 “We never met in churches” sees the choir creatively exploring the stories of the season and themes of winter, as well as LGBTQ+ rights and celebration of all the identities in our community.
Featuring music by Kelly Clarkson, John Grant, Kate Bush, Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson and Benjamin Britten, this concert will kick off the Christmas season in the stunning surroundings of Manchester Cathedral.
The evening will also feature texts from Jo Clifford’s ‘The Gospel According To Jesus Queen of Heaven’ and a new carol by Rylan Gleave. Jo’s original and revolutionary play recasts Jesus as a trans woman and was first performed in 2009 to critical acclaim. Jo will perform a selection of these moving and engaging texts as we sing an eclectic range of festive favourites and brand-new work.

Culture Co-op: Queer Utopias Banner Making Workshop,
Saturday 2nd December, 2pm – 5pm. With Dr Sarah-Joy Ford.
Dr Sarah-Joy Ford is a Manchester based artist and independent researcher working with textiles to explore the complexities and pleasures of queer communities, histories and archives.
This workshop is for LGBTQ+ people in Rochdale, creating a space to think about Queer Utopia together. You will be thinking about what kind of queer spaces there are in Rochdale, and thinking about what kinds of queer spaces you would like to see in future.
In this workshop you will be able to create your own mini queer Rochdale textile banner. The banner will be yours to take home, with it’s own dowling rod ready to be hung up at home or marched in the streets. You will learn heat bond applique, hand stitching and embellishment techniques as well as tassel making. All the materials will be provided, but you are of course welcome to bring your own materials with you if you would like. There is no previous experience necessary, and everyone is welcome!

This December, Trans Social Club is bringing you a special festive edition! Feeling Fabulous Workshop led by Darnell: Learn to werk a runway to a killa soundtrack, you will tap into the fierce fabulousness that we all have inside just screaming to get out.

We are stronger when everyone is included, and this event will be a celebration of all within our wonderfully diverse LGBT+ community.
Please join us for a joyful evening of Carols and readings.
This is a free event, with donations made on the evening supporting The Proud Trust, akt, LGBT Foundation and George House Trust charities, who work hard to keep our community safe and strong.

Accountant and Administrator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and organised individual to join them at the new Greater Manchester Lieutenancy Office. The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester is seeking to appoint a Part-Time Accountant and Administrator.
The Role
They are looking for an Accountant and Administrator to join their Team on a part-time basis and to work 22.5 hours over three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). The office is open during office hours from Monday to Thursday inclusive.
The successful candidate should be confident, well organised and have previous experience within a similar role. Confidentiality is a key characteristic of this position.
Salary
The role is offering a salary of £25,000 (£41,667 pro-rata) for the right candidate.
