Meet Rachel, our new Business Development Manager

Hi, I’m Rachel Jones. I am excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the pro-manchester team.  I’m looking forward to my role as Business Development Manager within the team, working with new and existing partners.

So, a little bit about me, I have over 20+ years of experience of working within health & social care and have worked with local authorities and disability provider services within the VCSE sector. I have a wealth of experience in commissioning & managing European funded projects, writing a wide range of bids, tenders & grant applications, that support better outcomes for people with disabilities within employment and wider across all of health and social care services. I was joint founder of Smart Works Greater Manchester in 2015 establishing a London based charity that supports women returning to work.

Outside of work, I have an amazing family, I love to travel and do lots of activities, I’m married, have an amazing son and 2 wonderful grandkids, that give us so much entertainment & we have the most amazing adventures with them. I love sports and I’m a keen runner and football fan.

I love to cook and a big fan of meal planning for the week ahead based on the activities we are doing, cooking from scratch each night, is very satisfying.
