Our Guest Speaker…

We’re delighted to welcome Laura Callaghan from Anthesis Group as our guest speaker. Laura is a Chartered Environmentalist and Principal Consultant specialising in ESG (Environmental Social Governance), strategy development and implementation solutions for corporates and financial institutions across the globe. Laura will discuss the importance of ESG and how a strategy can benefit your business.

What is Coffee4Craig?

Coffee4Craig is one of Manchester’s key homeless charities. We provide support 7 days a week with an evening drop-in where we offer hot food, showers, medical support and accommodation advice. We also carry out daytime support work with our guests to assist in the journey to secure accommodation.

We formed in September 2013 when Craig, the brother of Co-founder Risha Lancaster, passed away on the streets of Cardiff. Risha asked her friends and the community to buy a coffee for anybody they saw sleeping on the streets. This grew into a seven night a week soup kitchen. In February 2020, we received keys to our very own building. Having been a fancy dress shop the C4C team quickly set about custom building a professional and homely environment to welcome our guests and continue our important work.

What is the 24Club?

The 24 Club was previously the April24 club but we have re-branded to reflect our commitment to ongoing event s throughout the year. Why 24?

We always want the memory of Craig to be central to what we do. The 24th of April was Craig’s birthday and so the 24 club became a way of honoring his memory in celebration.
