Cowgills secures national taxation award

North West based Cowgills has won its first national award for its tax services at the 2023 Tolley Taxation Awards in London.

The Cowgills tax team was presented with the prestigious award for ‘Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm’, beating tough competition from firms across the UK.

Led by partner Lisa Wilson, the team has significantly grown over the last 12 months from 14 staff members to 24, including a number of senior level hires and promotions. In the last six months alone, the team has welcomed 55 new clients to the business across its offices in Bolton, Manchester and Liverpool.

Notable client successes in the last year include assisting the shareholders of Total Swimming during the sale of part of their business to JD Sports and assisting the shareholders of Beech Holdings on a £40m property acquisition.
